There is this general belief that Nigerian actresses in the Yoruba genre love to snatch spouses from each other and also settle down with second hand husbands. (No be me talk am o...lol)
It doesn't only happen in the Yoruba genre though, take for instance the Oge Okoye and Nkiru syvlanus’ ‘the boy is mine’ drama which happened earlier this year, but it is more rampant in this genre and that’s why we are focusing more on it.
From actress Laide Bakare who left her husband for an Alhaji and even claimed her hubby’s baby was his, to that of actress Foluke Daramola, whose messy affair with now hubby, Kayode Salako was a major talk on the blogosphere.
Not to mention actress Lola Alao whose hubby was snatched from her by a friend earlier this year.
The list goes on and on but that’s not what this write up is about.
These actresses (especially in the Yoruba movie industry) today are ensuring that they do have various streams of income and we think they deserve a kudos for that.
Mercy Aigbe who has had her own fair share of marital drama too is now a proud owner of boutique – Mag Divas.
Single mum of two, Iyabo Ojo who is not left out of the marital saga crisis, now owns a beauty salon and spa – Fespris World.
Politician Dino Melaye’s babymama, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe runs a boutique now and she even sells sex toys.
Liz DaSilva whose baby paternity sparked some deep controversy not too long ago, now runs a store too, it was launched last week.
Doris Simeon whose husband was snatched by actress Stella Damasus now runs a salon too, she calls it – Davris centre.
Bukky Wright who has been married to several husbands, has eatries in Lagos and Ibadan and also a music label – Wright ventures.
Toyin Alausa, a single mum of two, is also in the catering line as Bukky Wright.
Fathia Balogun who is still going to court with ex-hubby, Saheed Balogun, and even fought fellow actress, Flakky Ididowo over music star Pasuma a few months back, opened her beauty shop last year in Abeokuta, Ogun state – House of Faiteer.
Bimbo Thomas is the latest to follow suit in owning her own business in wines and liquor, opened by her boyfriend. Some of her colleagues were there to support her as she opened her new business in Ikeja on Sunday.
Congrats Bimbo Thomas
