Senator Khalifa Ahmed Zanna, the Senator-elect for the Borno Central in the just concluded March 28 Presidential and National Assembly elections is dead.
Family sources confirmed his death this morning in his Abuja residence, few days after returning from the United States of America where he had gone to receive treatment for an undisclosed ailment that caused him partial paralysis.
Until his death, Senator Zanna was very vocal on issues about Boko Haram and the plight of the North East.
His demise has caused grief in Maiduguri especially around his Damboa Road home which he vacated for IDPs kins from Bama his home town.
He was aged 59. He is survived by wife and children.
