Tummy tuck gone wrong! causing woman's stomach to EXPLODE

Every bride wants to look their best on her wedding day but one woman lived to regret trying to enhance her appearance by having cosmetic surgery abroad.

Dawn Moore, 42, from Canvey Island, Essex, was not only left with lopsided 38DD breasts but had a tummy tuck so badly botched it caused her stomach to explode.

The mother of three spent £2,300 on the boob job in January 2013 to boost her 36B assets for her husband Joe, 54, who proposed in 2010. But a week after the surgery her breasts were wonky rather than voluptuous. When she went back to complain she was told it would take a year for them to settle so she shouldn't worry.

As a result, Dawn had no isssues about returning to the surgery for a tummy tuck at a cost of £4,000 - half the price it would cost for the surgery in the UK. But as she was recovering from the second  surgery she caught a flesh-eating bug which ate away at her newly-flat stomach. Dawn flew back to Britain, where Joe, a roofer, took her straight to the hospital where surgeons rushed her into theater.

In her words:

'When I woke up, I was attached to tubes and wires. A doctor explained I'd contracted necrosis, a flesh-eating bug, in my stomach. They'd found a large mass of dead tissue. They didn't know for sure what caused it, but it could have been due to poor blood supply during surgery. I was fitted with a colostomy bag and went home in more pain than ever.'

Despite her ordeal, Dawn was determined for her wedding to Joe to go ahead and they proceeded with preparations to tie the knot in Mauritius in July 2013. But months before their big day, Dawn was rushed back to hospital after the stitches on her stomach ruptured.

'I was coming down the stairs when I heard a popping noise. I screamed in pain and Joe came running to see what was wrong,' she told The Sun.
I lifted my top up and his face was in a state of shock. I was terrified when he told me my stomach had exploded.'

After receiving treatment, Dawn was given the go ahead to travel to Mauritius for her wedding. But she said the special day was ruined thanks to the pain she was in.

'My body didn't feel like it belonged to me and even though I loved saying "I do" to Joe, I wasn't happy. It should have been the happiest day of my life, but it wasn't. I felt like a rotting corpse, even though I looked like a million dollars.'

Now Dawn has now been forced to register as disabled because she still suffers crippling pain and is covered in scars. The botched surgery has also left Dawn infertile and while she has three children aged 17 to 26 from a previous relationship, she said she would have loved to have been able to have more with Joe.

'Joe wanted to have children with me so being infertile is heartbreaking. I've put us through physical and emotional pain, all to try and get that perfect body,' she said.
She hopes other people learn from her story and avoid having cheap surgery aboard.

'Looking back, I was so naive. I want my story to be a warning,' she said.
