FIFA has started internal investigation into corruption allegations that led to the resignation of her president, Sepp Blatter in May this year. Read initial story HERE
FIFA, the world soccer governing body confirmed on Friday that it is ‘focused on achieving the highest standards for the
international football community.’
The investigation is being supervised by external lawyers from both the American and Swiss authorities to pursue separate probes into alleged wrongdoing in the FIFA office based in Zurich.
Fourteen people are being investigated mainly for wire fraud, racketeering , and money laundering.
