Nigeria beats Ebola-Virus (photos)
Nigeria has been declared Ebola free.
Nigeria has been declared officially free of Ebola after six weeks with no new cases, the World Health Organization(WHO) reports...More photo after the cut.
Nigeria won praise for its swift response after a Liberian diplomat brought the disease there in July.
The outbreak killed 8 people in Nigeria out of 20 reported cases more
than 4,500 people in West Africa, mostly in Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone.
What did Nigeria do right?
Nigeria has been commended to manage and erradicate it shores of Ebola
in the cheapest way possible using local resources such as plastic
bags in place of gloves, water-proof raincoats, efficient communication system amongst officials and all in the country in a fear free manner; achieved through SMS, banners and TV.
