Richard Rufus, a former defender with Charlton Athletic has duped the Kingsway International Christian Center, headed by Nigeria born pastor Matthew Ashimilowo out of 5 million POUNDS.
Richard became a member of the church after claiming to be “born again” and was entrusted by the church to invest the said amount.
The investigation into the fraud is being carried out by the Church Commissioners as a separate investigation from other debts amounting to almost £18 million owed by Rufus to over 93 investors. WOW!
Rufus has missed a number of court hearings saying ‘God is my only judge’.
