Collapsed bridge: Contractor must compensate victims- Governor Kwankwaso

The Kano Police Command as at Sunday confirmed the death of not less than seven people, following the collapse of a pedestrian bridge at Dorayi quarters in Kano metropolis.

The incident happened around 4.45 pm on Sunday when the bridge, still under construction, caved in and collapsed on a taxi.

Another Bomb Blast Rocks Kano today

A bomb exploded in Kano this evening along Maiduguri road opposite NNPC filling station in Hotoro area of Kano, killing several people and injuring others.

According to eyewitnesses ,the explosion shook many buildings and a combined team of soldiers and policemen were seen moving in convoy to the area, while rescue operation personnel were also dispatched to the area..
