Hatton Garden Jewellery Robbery: £200million Worth Of Treasures Feared Stolen

Burglars gained entry to the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit over the Easter weekend. Scotland Yard was alerted on Tuesday.

Police reports that as many as 70 deposit boxes were opened during a raid in London's jewellery quarter.

The raid has been estimated to amount to about a whooping £200million (YES! you read right. 200 MILLION POUNDS) though the Met hasn't yet given a factual value.

Gem industry expert James Riley said the raid was a very highly organised and very cleverly masterminded crime, the burglars used heavy equipment to break into a vault used mainly by jewellers and gold dealers. Investigation have begone and Police promises to be contacting victims directly as and when they are identified.
