Sasol evacuates South Africans from Mozambique

At least 340 South Africans are being evacuated from Mozambique by petroleum company, Sasol, amid fears of xenophobic revenge attacks.

The Sasol employees had been working on various company projects in that country.

The organisation says this is a precautionary measure following reports of unrest at some of its sites.

There's growing concern over possible attacks in response to the wave of xenophobic violence in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

Work at Sasol's affected sites has been temporarily halted.
