Police in Lilongwe have arrested a 27-year-old man who posed as a woman to secure a job as a house keeper in Area 36 of Capital City Lilongwe, Kenya. The man who fooled his boss for 8 months into believing he was a woman, was arrested after stealing some valuable and expensive household items.
The man’s wife told Leyman Publications that her husband told her he was only doing what he did because he was desperate for a job which he couldn't secure honestly.
He was arrested after his employer’s daughter, who is believed to have innocently shared make up and styling tips with the house maid noticed that the ‘would be woman’ was acting suspiciously, She reported him to her parents who later assured the girl it was probably nothing to worry about.
According to sources, the maid decided to pack and run before he was confronted. Police were called when the employer discovered some valuable items missing. He has been charged with identity fraud, steeling personal property, and obtaining work by deception.
However, there was no evidence that the man ever came into contact with Kids throughout the 8 months he was on the job.
