Funmi Iyanda receives University of Cumbria honorary fellowship award


44-year-old Nigerian broadcaster and journalist Funmi Iyanda receives the honorary fellowship award in honor of her significant global contribution to human rights and sustainability from the University of Cumbria at the graduation ceremony which held at the historic Carlisle Cathedral in Cumbria, North West England.

The ace broadcaster also made history as the first African female to be honored with a fellowship award in recognition of her significant global contribution to human rights and sustainability. She is actively involved in a charity organization called Change-A-Life Foundation, a social service non-profit initiative that supports youths and women in the society.
